In step with the vision of Mississippi College, the Office of 色中色 Conduct seeks to promote academic excellence in a Christ-centered learning environment. Consistent with this mission, the Office of 色中色 Conduct is committed to the following:

Educating the campus community by publishing, distributing and reviewing the 色中色 Code of Conduct, as well as presenting on the student conduct process to members of the community.
- Holding students and student organizations accountable and challenging them to accept responsibility for their actions through an educational process of review and resolution.
- Protecting the interests and rights of students of the MC community by conducting the student conduct process in accordance with state and federal laws, as well as the "色中色 Rights" listed in the 色中色 Code of Conduct.

FERPA and 色中色 Confidentiality
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a Federal law, and its corresponding regulations gives students certain rights to privacy of their education records and rights of access to their education records. Mississippi College has certain guidelines regarding FERPA and student information which you can view .
Frequently Asked Questions
My son/daughter has a conduct case. Can you talk with me about it?
Staff members in the Office of 色中色 Conduct are always able to share information regarding the 色中色 Code of Conduct and the student conduct process. To discuss any specific information regarding a student's case, a student must have a "Authorization to Release Information" form on file with the Office of the Registrar which grants permission to a parent to discuss "Disciplinary Records".
Can I be present while my student is meeting with the Office of 色中色 Conduct?
Yes, as long as the student has chosen you as their Advisor during the 色中色 Conduct process. From the 色中色 Code of Conduct, Article IV: 色中色 Rights: "To have one advisor present in a student conduct conference and/or hearing. An advisor may not participate directly in a student conduct conference and/or hearing process nor may an advisor address any participant in the student conduct conference and/or hearing process other than the student the advisor represents. An attorney will not be allowed to serve as an advisor." All advisors, as well as the student, are asked to sign an "Advisor's Role" form.
Can I speak for my student at a 色中色 Conduct meeting or hearing?
In a conduct meeting, students are expected to present their own perspective and ask questions. An advisor may ask questions in a student conduct meeting. In a hearing, an advisor may not speak to the hearing board or ask questions. An advisor may only speak quietly to the student they are advising. This outlined on the "Advisor's Role" form.

Report Sexual Misconduct and Relationship Violence
If you know of any instance of sexual misconduct such as sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking or any other prohibited conduct from the Mississippi College Sexual Misconduct & Relationship Violence Policy, report it below. Incidents or behavior involving only students, students and faculty/staff or only faculty/staff can all be reported from this form.
*Note, all Mississippi College employees, excluding counselors and pastoral counselors, are considered "Responsible Employees" under Title IX guidance, and are therefore obligated to report instances of Sexual Misconduct & Relationship Violence.
Report Hazing
The purpose of the form below is to report any act of hazing exhibited by Mississippi College students, studenet organizations or MC sponsored group. The Mississippi College 色中色 Code of Conduct defines hazing as “an act which threatens the mental or physical health or safety of a student, or causes embarrassment or humiliation, or which destroys or removes public or private property, for the
purpose of initiation, admission into, affiliation with, or as a condition for continued membership in a group or organization, a
student's willingness to participate in such activity notwithstanding."
